South Austin Texas Real Estate blog: December 2008

It was 81 degrees yesterday afternoon, then it snowed!

I posted this yesterday but today I figured out how to take the photos from my new camera to my old computer.. so here are a few shots. I took this yesterday morning, my 4 yr old grandson Bryce.

Only in Texas?  Wow, what a weather phenomena, yesterday afternoon was so pleasant we thought it was April, taking off jackets and wishing a tall glass of iced tea by the time I was finished with Property Tour, then last night, I start to hear something on the windows, ping, ping, ping, I got up to look, it was sleeting, your kidden me? right?  I live in South Central Texas, we get this kinda weather every 8 or 10 years, and I awoke this morning to white stuff laying on the ground.

Of course we don't have inches and inches much less feet but its white and the weather man on the local TV station showed photos of snow falling all over Austin last night.  It was incredible, and the temperature dropped to 33 degrees, something like a 50 degree drop in 12 hours?

Just a peek into living in my corner of the world.  No, we won't have a white Christmas, we won't even have a white lunchtime... but it was fun to look at for a bit. I don't have photos yet, maybe later this morning.

This was the morning after the snow at our house.  We live Southwest Austin.   Not a lot of snow for some regions but huge for Austin Texas.
